The primary attraction to this area is our sugar white beaches.  We are said to be one of the  “Top 10 Best Small Places to Live” by Forbes Magazine, a “Top Family Destination” & the “Best Beach in the South”  by Southern Living Magazine, and  USA Today proclaims us as having the "#1 Beach in America”.

Boating, fishing, beach volleyball,  and relaxing under a Gulf front umbrella are just a few of the outdoor activities favored by many. The sun shines 343 days a year and the subtropical climate brings with it mild winters, warm summers with temperatures typically ranging between 70 and 92 degrees.  We are seen as a vacation paradise.
